COCONUT BOWL

In the olden days people used to make the uses of items which were made out of coconut shells and still now people uses the spoons, bowls, cups etc. made out of coconut shells.

Requirements

Coconut Shells, Sharp Blade or Cutter, Sheet of Sandpaper, Paint Brush, Linseed Oil Solution.
Procedure
Make a small hole on the top of the coconut with a hammer or a sharp blade to drain the fluid from inside of it. Once the coconut is completely drained draw a line with your marker around the circumference of the coconut, either dividing it a half or at whatever proportions you prefer your bowl to be. Saw  the coconut shell along the lines you have marked and hollow out the coconut. To remove that you can use spoon. To finish off the texture and prepare the bowl for waterproofing, take  a rough grain sheet of sandpaper.

Sand down the inside of the bowl until it feels smooth and there should be no loose bits of coconuts “hair’ when you run your fingers over the inside. Do similarly with the outside. Using a paintbrush, coat the entirely from inside and outside of the bowl with the  linseed oil solution and keep it for drying.  For full waterproofing I would suggest five or six coats. Each coat should be applied once the previous one has dried. Enjoy your finished coconut shell bowl.
